Timothy B. Crane, MD

Dr. Crane has been in practice on Kaua'i since 1982 and is a Certified Member of the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He also has the designation of being the only neuro-ophthalmologist on Kaua'i, specializing in diseases affecting vision that originate from the nervous system. He is an all laser LASIK surgeon and is a recognized expert in cataract surgery. He collaborates with the Hawaii Lions Eye Bank and Makana Foundation to provide advanced corneal transplantation. When not at work, Dr. Crane enjoys surfing, gardening, and spending time with his family.

Janie H. Yoo, MD

Dr. Yoo, born and raised in California, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who moved to Kaua'i after serving six years as a Medical Director at Lusaka Eye Hospital in southern Africa. As the only cornea-trained ophthalmologist on Kaua'i, Dr. Yoo has expertise in the medical and surgical managament of various corneal diseases, standard and complex cataracts, pterygia, and other anterior segment conditions. She also provides comprehensive eye care for adults and children alike, treating a variety of conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, eyelid disorders, and strabismus. Her husband Paul, originally from Honolulu, is a practicing dentist. They have three active children - ages 5, 3, and 1. When not at work or busy with her children, Dr. Yoo enjoys playing music (violin and piano) and traveling the world.
